OZARK…Mr. Norman E. “Norm” Stubbs, a resident of Ozark, died Friday morning, November 19, 2021, in the emergency room of Dale Medical Center. He was 74.


            Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 21, 2021, in the Ozark Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Eric Fuller officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the church. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


            Mr. Stubbs, son of the late Ralph Stubbs and Ruth Carroll Stubbs, was a native and lifelong resident of Ozark. He was a graduate of Carroll High School and Troy University with a degree in Art. Norm was retired from M-1 Support Services at Fort Rucker with over thirty years of employment. He was a very talented artist and shared his talent with many friends by drawing and painting helicopter blades and various oil paintings. Norm was a member of the Ozark Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Stubbs.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Suzanne Davis Stubbs, Ozark; a son, Steven Stubbs (Laura), Greenville, SC; two step-sons,  Patrick Barefield (Kristy), Ozark, and Tanner Barefield (Jessica), Dothan; a sister, Susan Vacciano (Mike), Clanton, AL; two nieces, Erin Davis (Cory) and Carmen Brown; three grandchildren, Reese Barefield, Wilder Barefield, and Henry Barefield; father-in-law, James Davis; sister-in-law, Marilyn Dean (Tommy), all of  the Salem Community, near Skipperville; brother-in-law, Jim Davis (Kathy), Tallahassee, FL.
