Mr. Paul Harvey Woodall, a resident of Ozark, died Thursday, December 14, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 85 years old.
A Mass of Christian Burial and Rosary for Mr. Woodall will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Ozark with Father Christopher Boutin officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
Mr. Woodall was born June 16, 1938 in East Orange, New Jersey to the late Harvey Woodall and Mary Louise Shears Woodall. He was a 1955 graduate of North Miami Beach Florida High School. Mr. Woodall joined the Navy following high school and served as a Sonar Technician. Following his military service, he worked with Western Electric and then joined the Miami-Dade County Fire Department retiring after twenty-seven years of service. He worked part time with United States Customs Department. Mr. Woodall was a collector; books, coins, art and military memorabilia. He loved his fur babies; Darby was named after his Navy ship and his most recent cat was Boo Radley. He was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Ozark.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Nancy Carroll Wohlfarth Woodall; three daughters, Jennifer Fowles of Greensboro, North Carolina, Wendy Woodall of Ozark and Deirdre “Dee” Hodges (Jeff) of Ozark; one son, Timothy Woodall (Janice) of Atlanta, Georgia; twin sisters, Mary Byrd (Deceased) and Margaret Fleri of Seven Devils, North Carolina. Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 2431 West Main Street #1102, Dothan, Alabama 36301.
