Phillip Mark “Puppy” Ready, a resident of Dothan, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at Southeast Health Medical Center. He was 59.

Funeral services for Phillip will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 27, 2021 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverend Tim Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the funeral home.

Phillip was born April 12, 1962 in Dothan, Alabama to the late James Paul and Myra Esther Cochran Ready. He was raised in Headland and a 1980 graduate of Headland High School. Phillip was in sales and worked with UniFirst, Rushing Enterprises and EcoLab. He was a sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed playing softball and golf.

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Paul Ready.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Ronna Lynn Clark Ready; son Zachary Clark Ready; sisters, Myra Ready Mathis (Larry) and their children, Scott and Ashley, Shirley Ready Smith (Joseph) and their children, Donna, Dawn, Sheree and Joshua; father-in-law, Ronnie Clark (Betty); sister-in-law, Jessica Davis (Kenny) and their children, Emily and Elizabeth; brother-in-law, Jeff Clark (Stacy) and their children, Jason, Keri, Eric and Madison.
