Mr. Phillip Allen Key of Fadette went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 24, 2023 at Southeast Health surrounded by his loving family.  He was 62.


Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023 at New Hinson Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Klobe officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.  Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.


The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.


Mr. Key was born May 31, 1960 in Houston County to the late Billy Joe and Ethel Granger Key.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Phillip was forever grateful to the Lord for providing him the strength he needed and was a living testimony of God’s grace.  He loved his church family at New Hinson Baptist Church and will be dearly missed.


In addition to his parents an aunt, Mabel Mixon preceded him in death.


Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Wanda Key; sons: Craig Kelly, and Chad Kelly (Amanda); two grandsons: Christian and Beau; two cousins who were like brothers: Stacey Mixon (Pricilla) and Scott Mixon (Melanie); sister-in-law: Janice Wack, and Linda Edmondson; brother-in-law, Carl Murphy (Debbie); several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
