Q.P. Baine of Samson passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014.  He was 80.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Ronnie Baine and Rev. David Lamb officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.


Mr. Baine was born in the Piney Grove Community on February 21, 1934 to the late Clifton Baine and Bama Lawson Baine.  He worked as a farmer and carpenter for many years.  He is also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Baine; and two sisters, Malease Benton and Iris Biddle.


He is survived by three sons, David “Randall” Baine of Samson, Ronnie Baine, and wife, Deborah, and Ricky Baine and wife, Rose, all of Geneva; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Mahan and husband, Buddy, and Barbara Mock and husband, Pete, all of Samson; brother, Charles Baine and wife, Ella of Westville, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
