Randall “Flash” Adams, a resident of Cottonwood, died Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his residence. He was 77.


 


Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be held at 3:30 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Cottonwood City cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Tuesday night at the funeral home.


 


Mr. Adams was born March 20, 1940 in Houston County, Alabama to the late James Walter and Zennie Robinson Adams. He retired from Houston County Road and Bridge and enjoyed fishing and quail hunting. Mr. Adams had a love for racing and got his nickname as the “Cottonwood Flash” from his old days at Rocket Speedway.


 


Mr. Adams is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Hoppy Adams and a half-brother, CJ Hart.


 


Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann “Doodle” Adams; son, Randy and Lois Adams; daughter, Penny and Ricky Quattlebaum; eight grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three sisters, Freddie and Jr Carpenter, Ann Thorne, Eloise and Talmadge Baker.
