Randall Rexell Rogers, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was born on October 21, 1947, in Cottondale, Florida, and passed away on May 26, 2023, in Dothan, Alabama. He was a man of unwavering faith, boundless love, and incredible resourcefulness, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew him.
Randall attended Eddins Road Pentecostal Ministries, where he found solace and strength in his faith. His relationship with the Lord was the cornerstone of his life, and he made it his mission to share the love and grace of God with everyone he encountered. Randall also had a passion for gardening, cultivating a variety of vegetables and fruit trees as well as fishing when time allowed.
Family was the heart and soul of Randall's life, and he was a loving husband to his wife of 53 years, Janice Rogers. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Steven Rogers, Travis Rogers, and Jennifer Vickers (Chris). Randall's love for his family extended to his grandchildren - Cody Holder, Elizabeth Vickers (Josh Pope), John Wesley Rogers, Dakota Rogers, Clayton Rogers, his great-grandson, William Lee Holder, his sister, Frances Garner (Charles), several nieces and nephews.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents, John J. Rogers and Alean Benefield Rogers; and a brother, J. C. Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Dale Worley and Reverend Doug Kitts officiating. Entombment will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 prior to the service at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
