Raymond Anthony Burk, a resident of Dothan, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Medical Center Enterprise. He was 46.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the services at the funeral home.


 


Ray was born September 10, 1971 in Sharon, Pennsylvania and was raised in Graceville, Florida. He was a 1990 graduate of Graceville High School where he was class president and Mr. GHS. Ray earned a basketball scholarship to Wallace Community College where he received his degree in Physical Therapy. Ray worked as a Physical Therapist his entire career and was currently employed with Enterprise Health and Rehab. He enjoyed a house full of family and spending time with grandchildren.


 


Survivors include his wife, Kathy Burk; children, Candace Barney (Brian), Caitlyn Davis, Ashlyn Davis (Derek Fannin); grandchildren, Noah Barney, Jase Barney and Cohen Fannin; mother, Andrea Burk; father and step mother, George and Kaye Burk; siblings, Amy White (Rich), Thomas Burk, Ryan Burk (Kelly); nieces and nephews, Holley Smith (Matt), Braden Burk, Jared Burk, Logan Burk, Katie Burk and Austin Burk.
