   Mr. Raymond Eugene “Bud” Cook, Jr., a resident of Ozark, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024. He was 76 years old.


   In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned for Mr. Cook. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at www.HolmanFuneralHome.com.


   Mr. Cook was born December 4, 1947 in Sidney, Ohio to the late Raymond Eugene Cook, Sr. and Marjorie Allen Cook. He graduated from high school in Ohio and later moved to Orlando, Florida with his family. Bud worked as a policeman in Ocoee, Florida for a few years until he was drafted into the United States Army. He served as a crew chief and a door gunner on a UH1 Huey in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Bud moved back to Orlando after his military service and worked in construction for ten years. He was offered the unique opportunity to work as a golf ball recycling diver, where he worked for over ten years until his retirement. He loved horses, guns, fishing, his grandchildren and his fur-baby “Red”.


   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Cook. Survivors include three daughters, Ann Granda of Jacksonville, Florida, Jill Brown of Saint Augustine, Florida and Brandy Cook of Frostproof, Florida; one son, Sean Cook (Tanya Embry) of Ozark; one sister, Carol Mort (Gordon) of Wapakoneta. Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
