OZARK… Mr. Reginald Samuel, a resident of Ozark, passed away Friday morning, December 15, 2023, in a Dothan hospital. He was 59.


            Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 23, 2023, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.


            Mr. Samuel was born August 11, 1964, to the late Ananias and Mary L. Samuel. He was the first born to this union. Reginald was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. At the age of 10, Reginald was baptized at Tabernacle Baptist Church. He attended and graduated from Luella Grammar School and graduated from South Shore High School in 1985. He graduated from Illinois State University in 1989. He worked many jobs. He met, fell in love, and married Elfrida Ross Samuel in 2009.


            Reginald was preceded in death by his father, Ananias Samuel and grandmother, Ruby Samuel, and stepson, Antonio Rout. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Elfreida Samuel, mother, Mary L Samuel, children, Jessica M. Ross Bello (Rafiu), Elfrida Box (Joseph), Kennaque Ross Calhoun, Stanley Vanzant, Jr., an Daniel Ross; brother, Vincent Samuel, special cousin, Cynthia Webb; grandchildren, Selena Cowser, Janisha Cowser, Christian Ross, Kayla Watson and Calvin Sharp; great-grandchildren, Xolani Cowser and Navaeh Ross; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
