Mr. Robert B. “Bo” Meadows, age 81, of Ashford went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, Georgia. Bo was at peace and as always, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Monday, January 22, 2018, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kyle Gatlin and Mr. Philip Gagliano officiating. Burial will follow at Ashford City Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing. Flowers will be accepted.
The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 pm until 2:15 pm Monday prior to the services at Glover Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Meadows was born on March 31, 1936, in Houston County to the late Robert E. and Mary White Meadows. He was a retired farmer and worked as a license inspector for Houston County. Mr. Meadows served on the Ashford City Council and was a current member of the Board of Economic Development for the city of Ashford. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Covenant East United Methodist Church in Ashford.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years Molly Meadows; son Robert Brook Meadows, II of Dothan; 2 daughters Millicent Meadows Sheffield (Billy Joe Sheffield, II) and Holly Lilla Meadows Gagliano (Philip) of Dothan; 10 grandchildren: Robert Brook Meadows, III, Birmingham; Bailey Elizabeth Meadows, Caroline Elizabeth Meadows, Walter Gabriel Sheffield, Samuel Stone Sheffield, Sara Elizabeth Sheffield, Josie Lilla Gagliano, Molly Grace Gagliano, MaryRuth Faith Gagliano, and Miriam Banks Gagliano, all of Dothan.
Pallbearers will be Paul Zimlich, Brad Kennington, Press Thornton, Ed Lowe, John Summerford, Sherril White, Matt Howard and Butch Lewis.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the CVICU at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA, especially Viktor Cheban and Dr. Michael Corey.
