NEWTON…Mr. Robert Creamer, a resident of Newton, died Thursday afternoon, December 16, 2021, in the emergency room of a Dothan hospital. He was 55.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 20, 2021, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ray Layton officiating. A eulogy will be given by Reverend Guy Leonard. Burial will follow in Newton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.


            Mr. Creamer was born July 3, 1966, in Dothan and he moved to Newton at an early age. He owned and operated R & R Plumbing Company in Newton. Mr. Creamer was currently serving as a councilman on the Newton Town Council and also on the Water & Sewer Board of Newton. Mr. Creamer was an avid Karaoke singer. He attended Grace Assembly of God Church. Mr. Creamer was preceded in death by his son, Cody Allen Creamer, mother, Hazel Faye Howard Creamer, a brother, Jeff Creamer, sister-in-law, Jessie Ruth Black, brother-in-law, Dowling Walker.


            Surviving relatives include his father, William Hershel Creamer (Frances), Newton; two sisters, Glenda Walker and Judy Cordes (Kevin), both of Newton; three brothers, James Black and Joe Creamer (Ginger), both of Midland City, and Anthony Creamer, Newton; two grandchildren, Braylen and Ryder Creamer; mother of his grandchildren, Summer Luck, Midland City; sister-in-law, Kay Creamer, Dothan; special friends, Wanda and Anna Glover, Newton; several nieces and nephews.
