Mr. Robert E. “Pops” Felch, 82, a resident of Dothan, Al passed away May 21, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Harper’s Joy Assembly of God Church with Reverend Eddie Littlefield and Reverend Justin Felch officiating. Interment will follow in Harper’s Joy Cemetery under the direction of Ward Wilson Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, May 22, 2015. Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Felch was born June 8, 1932 in Waterbury Conn. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served as a Crew Chief flying 720 Combat sorties during the Vietnam War. He also served as a flight mechanic. He retired from the Unites States Air Force as a tech Sergeant July, 1973. After retiring from the Air Force he was a Postal Worker and Mechanic. He has resided in Dothan, Al for the past 37 years.

He is a member of Harper’s Joy Assembly of God Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendant, Teacher and board member.

Mr. Felch is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marfay Kimble Felch; a good friend Lester Grant, His parents, a brother and a sister.

He is survived by two sons: Ricky Felch and wife Joye of Dothan, Al and  Bobby Felch and wife Rietta of Solvang, California. One brother Eugene Felch of Boston, MA, three grandsons Justin Felch and wife Joy of Troy, Al, Britton Felch and wife Kaylee of Ashford, Al, Robert Garrett and wife Angela of Tampa, Fl, one great-granddaugher Rilee Kate Felch and one great-grandson Tyler Garrett.

Pops will be greatly missed by his family, his church family and all who knew him.
