Mr. Robert “Pete” Hudson left us July 29, 2012, to be with the angles. He was a loved husband, father, son, and brother. He was 61. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with the Rev. Randy Hartley officiating. Burial will follow at Goodman Independent Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Hudson was born in Coffee County, AL on August 28, 1950 to Charlie M. and Nettie Lee Roberson Hudson. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Emma Jean Hudson; one granddaughter, Destiny Parvin; and one brother Charlie W. Hudson.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Lessie Hudson of Elba, AL; two daughters, Betty Jean Goodwin (Dexter) and Sue Ann Parvin (Johnny) all of Elba, AL; one son, Charlie R. Hudson of Elba, AL; father and mother, Charlie M. and Nettie L. Hudson of Elba, AL; four sisters, Ann Johnson, Brenda Johnson (Dock) all of Elba, AL, Cathy Kirklin (Phillip) of Andalusia, AL, and Nettie Kay Hudson of Elba, AL; one brother, Billy Wayne Hudson (Cathrine) of Elba, AL; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be, Markie Hudson, Shane Berry, Damian Hudson, Ray Dean, Shane Sasser, Charlie Wayne Hudson, Zacharey Hudson, and Alex Hudson.
