Mr. Robert Lee Buntin, a resident of Eufaula, Alabama passed away Monday, September 30, 2024, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama surrounded by his loving family. He was 75 years old.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glover Funeral Home in Eufaula, Alabama with Rev. Chris Wilkinson officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asking memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society- PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
Robert was born March 8, 1949, in Troy, Alabama to the late Robert Lee Buntin and Ruby Mae Tidwell Buntin. He retired from Benny Whitehead Trucking after 33 years of service and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. Robert was a member of the Eufaula Bass Club and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Eufaula.
He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Katherine Irene Wright Buntin; sister, Martha Jean Singleton; sister-in-law, Carol Wright Singleton.
Left to cherish his memories are two sons, Robert L. “Hoss” Buntin of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Kenneth W. Buntin (Lee) of Eufaula, Alabama; daughter, Claudia Creamer (Eric) of Baker, Florida; seven grandchildren, Eric Gregory Swain (Lauren), Mackenzie “Mac” Creamer, Jay Buntin (Emilija), Zoe M. Buntin, Fate Calton (Madison), Sullivan Calton, and Grace Calton; two great-grandchildren, Lane Swain and Noelle Buntin; brother-in-law, Terry W. Singleton; dear friend, Joann Gamble.
Active pallbearers are Benny Paul Whitehead, Eddie Whitehead, Corey Culpepper, Eric Swain, Jay Buntin, and Fate Calton.
Honorary pallbearers are Sullivan Calton, Johnny Knight, Bubba Blue, Terry W. Singleton, and the members of Mike Hamrick’s Sunday School class.
