BRUNDIDGE…Robert Marion Dismukes, a resident of Brundidge, died early Monday morning, August 19, 2024, at his home. He was 86.

            In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.

            Mr. Dismukes, son of the late Francis Marion Dismukes and Annie Arnez Lee Dismukes, was a native of Enterprise. He was a graduate of Enterprise High School and Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama. Mr. Dismukes moved to Brundidge in the early 1960’s, where he was a member of the Brundidge Methodist Church. In earlier years, he was employed with Doxee Foods and later was employed with Mutual Savings Life and Liberty National Life as a Regional Sales Manager. Mr. Dismukes was preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia Shankle Dismukes and a son, Mark Dismukes.

            Surviving relatives include his son, Matthew Dismukes (Priscilla), Opelika; daughter, Denise Ellis (Kim), Brundidge; sister, Jackie McNair, Virginia; grandchildren, Brandi Carter (Steven), Caleb Downing (Meghan), Brandon Dismukes (Jennifer), and Brittany Chapman (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Presley, Miles, Rowen, Reese, Seeley, Jack, Coraline, Ellie, and Declan.
