Mr. Roger Dale Tew of Slocomb, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, at Flowers Hospital. He was 73.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Lee Chorn officiating.  Interment will follow in New Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.

Mr. Tew was born October 2, 1951 in Geneva County to the late James Grover and Juanita Dunn Tew. Roger owned and operated Tew’s Cabinet Shop for more than 30 years. He was constantly on the go and could not sit still for very long. He was an avid outdoorsman, and would go fishing as often as he could. Roger enjoyed tending to his cows, farming and cooking for his family He always looked forward to spending time with his family and will be dearly missed.  

In addition to his parents, sister, Sherleen Hughes and brother, James W. Tew preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Gladys Turner Tew; sons: Todd Daniel Tew and Chucky Daniel Tew; grandchildren: Mark Anthony Tew, Russ Cameron Tew, Kelsey Marie Tew, Savanna Leann York, and Kayden Dale Tew; sister, Kathleen Silvers (Carl); brother, Terry Tew (Debbie) and other extended family and friends.
