Mr. Roger W. Strickland

Mr. Roger W. Strickland of Samson passed away April 25, 2012. He was 59. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with the Rev. Danny Branch officiating. Burial will follow in Reese Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.    

 Mr. Strickland was born in Geneva County, AL on September 8, 1952 to the late Marvin and Mary Wise Strickland.  He was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters. 

He is survived by his wife, Pam Strickland; son, Dustin Strickland; granddaughter, Isabella Strickland; three sisters, Martha White (Robert), all of Samson, Frances Martin of Geneva and Dianne Thomas (Doug Bell) of Samson; his special friend, Roger Aplin of the Harrison Curve Community; and several nieces and nephews.
