Ronald L. Coleman, 65, peacefully passed away Thursday February 1,2018 surrounded by his family at the Noland Hospital in Dothan, AL.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM, one hour prior to the service.
Ronald worked as a Sr. Software Analyst at Ansell Healthcare for over 30 years. Having the heart of a servant, he has volunteered his time within the community throughout his life. Ronald served on the Board of Directors for the March of Dimes and chaired the parade division for the National Peanut Festival. Ronald was always involved with the boy’s ball teams and school functions. He enjoyed dove hunting and fishing. His passion was his family. Ronald was a wonderful husband and father. There was never any doubt where his heart was.
Ronald is survived by his wife Karen Quintero Coleman and 3 sons, Brock Eckenrod, Jacob Eckenrod and Tyler Coleman. A grandson, Brayden Jax and a daughter in love, Casey Turner. Sisters Gloria Myers and Diane (Bobby) Dean, Brothers Berry (Lisa) Coleman, and Dan (Glenda) Coleman stepsister Deborah Long stepbrother Bubba Grimsley, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Dr. JC Coleman and Dorothy Coleman Grimsley.
Pallbearers are Donald Shipes, Preston Shipes, John Shipes, Dennis Bailey, Ronald Ready, and Ricky Linville. The National Peanut Festival Parade committee with be honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Noland Hospital for the care given to Ronald during his stay. A very special Thank you to his Nurse Practitioner, Julie German, Our Angel on Earth. No words can express how grateful we are to you.
