Mr. Ronald Lewis “Ron” Tucker, a resident of Ariton, died Monday, September 13, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. He was 81 years old.


A private family memorial service will be held for Mr. Tucker at a later date.  However, condolences may be expressed at www.HolmanFuneralHome.com   


Mr. Tucker was born January 17, 1940 in Tullahoma, Tennessee where he attended Tullahoma High School.  He joined the United States Army in 1958 and worked in Buffalo, New York in intelligence before the CIA was created. He then came back to Columbus, Georgia for training at Fort Benning.  Mr. Tucker served four tours in Vietnam as a door gunner and maintenance technician for Bell Helicopter.  Following his service in Vietnam, he was stationed at Fort Rucker as a helicopter inspector and later retired at Fort McPherson, Georgia with a total of thirty-six years of service.  He loved to build cars and was a master carpenter.  He was a Mason in the Ozark Masonic Lodge 349.


Survivors include one daughter, Ronda Tucker (Chris) of  Ariton; one son, Kurt Tucker (Patti) of Ozark; one sister, Patricia Tucker (Bobby) of Tullahoma, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Drake Tucker of Ozark, Brandon Tucker and Hannah Tucker of Ariton.
