Mr. Ronnie L. Campbell, 70, a resident of Slocomb died Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Princeton Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.


Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Slocomb, Alabama with Reverend Ronnie Baine officiating and Kendall Glover directing.                                                                                     


The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home, 1468 Hartford Highway, Dothan, Alabama Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. prior to the graveside services. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to America Heart Association.                            


Mr. Campbell was born on September 5, 1945 in Geneva County the son of Oscar Campbell and Lucy Waters Campbell. He was a retired truck driver of Flemming Foods and a lifetime resident in Geneva County. His greatest joy was playing with his grandchildren and his truck driving.


He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy and Grady Campbell; one sister, Carolyn Bond; half-sister, Joan Williams.


Survivors include: wife, Glenda Campbell, Slocomb, AL.; daughter, Amanda (Chris) Korey, Dothan, AL.; four sons, Michael (Melissa) Henderson, Jonathan (Amanda) Campbell, Jason Campbell, Scotty Campbell, half-brother, Donnie Campbell, Slocomb, AL.; three half-sisters, Cathy, Diane and Shirley, Slocomb, AL.; special friend and brother-in-law Mike Taylor, Midland City, AL.; eight grandchildren.


Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
