Mr. Ross Clifford (Cliff) Hawthorne, Highway 179 Bonifay, Fl. passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 55.
The family will receive friends at Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home, in Geneva, Alabama, Tuesday, February 23 beginning at 5:00 pm until time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 pm., with the Rev. Scott Crooms officiating and the eulogy by Chris McCollum and Ross Hawthorne.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Florida State University Athletic Dept.
Mr. Hawthorne was born August 6, 1960 in Sarasota, Florida, to Roy Clifford and Shirley Mae Lemacks Hawthorne. Cliff was a Cattle Rancher, worked for Sysco for the past 10 years, Con-Agra Poultry Co. 27 years. He enjoyed his family farm, his cattle and a “DIE HARD FSU FAN”. He was a very special husband, son, uncle & friend loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by: His father, Roy Hawthorne, Grandparents J.H. & Nettie Hawthorne, father-in-law & mother-in-law Junior & Evelyn Farris.
Survivors include: Wife: Brenda Farris Hawthorne, Mother: Shirley Hawthorne, Bonifay Florida. Special nephews: Ross Hawthorne, Ben Hawthorne and Dylan Creech. Special niece: Kayla Creech Mathis (Zach) and great nephew Casen Mathis, sister-in-law, Linda Ann Creech (Greg), and brother-in-law James Earl Farris.
