Mr. Rudolph Spivey of Chancellor, Alabama passed away and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 22, 2016. He was 80 years old. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 2 P.M. at the Providence United Methodist Church in Chancellor with Reverends John Baxter, John Wesley Spivey and Gary Armstrong officiating.
Burial will follow in the Providence United Methodist Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:00 pm Wednesday and continuing until service time.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Providence United Methodist Church Building Fund, 4693 State Highway 85, Chancellor, Alabama 36316
Rudolph was born on December 29, 1935 in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Reverend Dawsey and Mrs. Mary Lee Spivey.
Rudolph was a member of Providence United Methodist Church for 60 years. Rudolph retired from Ft. Rucker after 37 years as an aircraft mechanic/inspector. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather
Survivors include his wife 60 years, Talma Chancellor Spivey; one daughter: Debra Spivey Wilks (Donald Ray); and one son, Terry Rudolph Spivey all of Chancellor; five grandchildren: Jami (Toby) Seay of Geneva, Wade Spivey of Enterprise, Adra (Mark) Johnson of Hartford, Bart (Dawn) Wilks of Geneva, and Charli Spivey of Enterprise: Great-grandchildren; Mary Elizabeth and Millie Seay, John Parker and Ellie Johnson, Chloe Spivey, Avery and Chloe Nance, and Harper Wilks.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bart Wilks, Wade Spivey, Toby Seay, Mark Johnson, Jack Helms and Hans Edelmann; and honorary pall bears include George Helms, Clyde Bloodsworth, Archie Howell, Benny Thompson, Donnie Brunson, Billy Brooks, Kenneth Jackson, Lamar Jackson, Danny Myers, Everett Stewart, Charles Stokes, Ronnie Reeves and Jerry Peak.
