Obituary:  Mr. Sam Moss


 


Mr. Sam Moss of Slocomb passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at his home. He was 68.


 


A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.


 


In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions in honor of Mr. Moss be made to Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Jimmy Smith, 2075 County Road 9, Slocomb, AL 36375.


 


Mr. Moss was born October 5, 1951 in Geneva County to the late Sam and Ruby Butler Moss. Sam enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He was an Avid Alabama football fan. Sam loved his dog, Trooper.


 


In addition to his parents, his sisters: Hilda Moss Williams, and Bessie Woodham Watson; brother, Ellie Moss all preceded him in death.


 


Survivors include daughters: Candace Kilgore (Robert), and Tabatha Moss and their mother, Vanessa Moss; grandchildren: Austin Robinson, Anthony Howard, Jr., Makenzie Floyd, Kailie Wadkins, and Madison Meyers; sister, Janice Johnson (Jimmy); several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and special friend, Alan Cole.
