Mr. Seaborn Luvon Bell, age 74, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday February 18, 2016 at his residence after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend’s Ray McKenzie and Henry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Hill Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing.
The family will be receiving friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Glover Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Cloverdale Baptist Church Building Fund, 806 Dexter St., Dothan, AL. 36301.
Mr. Bell was born on July 12, 1941 in Echo the son of William Seaborn Bell and Gladys V. Gill Bell Tharp. He was owner of Bell’s Pest Control for 38 years; a member of the Dothan Masonic Lodge 466 where he served as Past Master Mason and he was also a member of the Dothan Elk Lodge. Mr. Bell was a member of the Cloverdale Baptist Church for 51 years and he was a graduate of Carroll High School in Ozark.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: wife, Dorothy Kirkland Bell, Dothan; 2 daughters, Betsy Bell Weisbeck (Scott), Kennesaw, Ga.; Robyn Bell Dowling, Acworth, Ga.; son, Michael Luvon Bell (Kristie), Hartford; 3 step-daughters, Karyl Roden (Wayne), Dothan; Dori Long (Tim), Enterprise; Lori Toth (John), Dothan; 10 Grandchildren
Active pallbearers will be: James Scotty Weisbeck, Alex Peyton Weisbeck, Michael Gill, Michael Long, Ward McDaniel and Curt McDaniel.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Members of the Billy Griswold Sunday School Class at Cloverdale Baptist Church.
Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
