OZARK…Mr. Stanley Thompson, a resident of Ozark, died early Sunday morning, June 23, 2024, at his home. He was 55.

Stanley was born April 7, 1969, in Troy and was a 1989 graduate of Carroll High School where he was a member of the marching band and played baseball for the CHS Eagles. Stanley was a friend to many and had a heart bigger than anyone.  He was a loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons. However, nothing compared to his fierce love for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Stanley was an amazing artist and singer.  He enjoyed karaoke singing, going to concerts and spending time at the beach.  Stanley always dreamed of becoming a cowboy and could often be found watching traditional western series films about the old west.  Stanley loved his family and family was everything to him.  He always had a kind word and a gentleness about him that made others feel welcome and loved.  His friendship was a treasure, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sallie Thompson, brother, Shannon Thompson and a special friend, Debra Lynn.

He is survived by his father, Arthur Thompson; sister, April (Eric) Slaick; nephew, Logan Slaick; nieces, Miranda Thompson, Lillian Slaick, Laurali Slaick, and cousin, Keith Adams.  Many cousins, aunts, and uncles also survive.

Thank you to Dayspring Hospice for the care and support for Stanley and family.
