Stephen Colley Harris, 43, a resident of Marietta, Georgia and formerly of Ozark, Alabama passed away, Saturday, July 27, 2019.


Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A. M. Friday, August 2, 2019, from First United Methodist Church Ozark with Dr. Jason Thrower and Reverend Greg Aman  officiating.  Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens in Ozark with Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home in Ozark from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.


Steve was born August 27, 1975 at Dale Medical Center in Ozark, Alabama.  He graduated from Carroll High School of Ozark in 1993 and continued his education at Auburn University where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.  He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Troy University in 1998.  Steve was an avid Auburn fan and loved Atlanta Braves baseball.  Steve will be remembered for his infections smile and his zest for life.  His loving and kind heart made him a friend to all.  He will be greatly missed.


Survivors include his wife, Betsy Johnson Harris of Marietta, GA; children, Logan Colley Harris and Walter Comer Harris of Tuscaloosa, AL and Margaret Caroline McConnell and John Daniel McConnell of Marietta, GA; parents, Jim and Peggy Harris of Ozark, AL; sister and brother-in-law, Brandon and Christi Johnson; niece, Julia Kathryn Johnson and nephew, Benjamin James Johnson all of Auburn, AL; grandmother, Mrs. Mildred Odom Spivey of Ozark, AL; mother and father-in-law, Megan and Van Johnson of Big Canoe, GA; brother-in-law, Matthew Johnson of Washington D.C.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. E. J. Spivey of Ozark and Mr. and  Mrs. Jack Harris of Enterprise, AL.


In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 500 Chase Park South – Suite 104, Hoover, AL 35244, First United Methodist Church of Ozark - Organ Fund, 167 East Broad Street, Ozark, AL 36360, or your favorite charity.
