Mr.  T.  M.  Reeder, a resident of Newton, died Friday, April 2, 2021, at his home.  He was 83 years old.


Funeral services for Mr. Reeder will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 5, 2021, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with  Pastor Tim Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Full Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home in Ozark from 12:00 Noon until service time.


Mr. Reeder was born May 3, 1937 in Blue Springs, Alabama to the late Cotis Weems Reeder and Tommie Lou Walker Reeder. He served for twenty years in the United States Air Force and retired as a TSGT. Following his military service, he worked with Civil Service at Fort Rucker Fire Department and retired as Chief of Fire Prevention.  Mr. Reeder enjoyed gardening and being outside. He was a huge Alabama football fan and loved his dogs, especially Bear.  He was a member of the Wicksburg Assembly of God Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Gail Boynton Reeder.


Survivors include his wife, Gayle McCoy Reeder of Newton; two daughters, Debbie Burch (Billy) of Clanton, Alabama, Celeste Gabbrielli (Angelo) of Dothan, Alabama; one son, Mike Reeder (Leslie) of Ozark; two step-sons, Roger Deal (Kerry) of Dothan and Ron Deal of Panama City Beach, Florida; one sister, Celeste Spivey (Lamar) of Edwin, Alabama; six grandchildren, Christopher Burch (Brandi), Joshua Burch, Justin Reeder (Lauren), Kassidy Reeder, Jacqueline Gabbrielli and Nicholas Gabbrielli;  two great grandchildren, Mila Gabbrielli and Gavin Burch (Savannah); and one great-great grandchild, Kimber Burch.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Wicksburg Assembly of God Church, 887 Alabama  Hwy  103, Slocomb, Alabama 36375.
