Mr. Ted D. Mosier, Sr. of Geneva, Alabama passed away Friday, January 11, 2013. He was 88.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 16, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Red Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the New Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, January 15, from 6 until 8 p.m.
Mr. Mosier was born March 11, 1924, in Moscow, Kentucky to the late Dolphus and Josie B. Myatt Mosier. He was a retired welder. After moving to Geneva he became a cattle rancher working with Scott Livestock Company for more than 30 years.
In addition to his parents his wife Shirley Frances Owens Mosier and two siblings, Thomas Mosier and Emma Jean Roach preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry M. Martin, Geneva; four sons: Thomas E. “Tom” Mosier, Moscow, KY, Michael Ralph Mosier, William Greg Mosier and Ted D. Mosier, Jr., all of Geneva; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren: two nephews: Rob and Ray Jones, both of Calumet City, IL; other special family and friends.
