CHALKHEAD COMMUNITY… Mr. Terry Grantham, a resident of the Chalkhead Community, near Ozark, died early Wednesday morning, August 7, 2024, in the Henry County Health & Rehab in Abbeville. He was 67.


            Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, August 9, 2024, at Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:30 A.M. Friday in the sanctuary of the church. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.


            Mr. Grantham, son of the late Olen Cotter Grantham and Ruth Joyner Grantham, was a native and lifelong resident of the Chalkhead & Brown’s Crossroads Communities. He was a 1975 Graduate of Carroll High School. Mr. Grantham was engaged in farming most of his lifetime. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Denise Cotton Grantham and an uncle, Lee Whittle Tharpe.


            Surviving relatives include his children, Tyler Grantham, Echo Community, Maleah Grantham Benefield (Donnie), Texasville, Beth Rhodes (Clay), Troy, and Flynt Grantham, Mabson Community; brother, Tony Grantham, Ozark; aunt, Faye Grantham Tharpe, Echo Community, uncle, Johnny Joyner (Rue), Grimes; several cousins.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Billy Ferguson, Brad Hunter, Kevin Floyd, DJ Hyde, Mike McDaniel, and Andy Smith.
