Mr. Terry Keith Watkins, a resident of Ariton, died Monday, September 6, 2021, in Dale Medical Center.  He was 67 years old.


A memorial service for Mr. Watkins will be held 5:30 P.M. Saturday, September 11, 2021, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Danny Ellis officiating, Holman Funeral Home directing.


Mr. Watkins was born May 27, 1954 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Edsel Watkins and Lyda Prevatt Watkins.  He attended Cairo Georgia High School.   Mr. Watkins served in the United States Army as a Supply Specialist.  He courageously  volunteered to serve in Vietnam, and later retired from the United States Army Reserve. Following his military service, he worked in Safety Center Logistics with Civil Service at Fort Rucker where he also retired. He loved to go hunting and fishing; he collected coins and was an avid newsy.  He enjoyed his house cats, his front porch cats, carport cats, pole barn cats and his feral cats. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Ponder.


Survivors include his fiancee`, Evelyn Bennett;  two daughters, Lisa Watkins of Ozark, Jennifer Lewis (David) of Clarksville, Tennessee; two sons, Christopher Watkins (Julia) of San Antonio, Texas and Benjamin Watkins (Rosaleah) of  Havre, Montana; one brother, Edsel Earl Watkins of Powder Springs, Georgia; four grandchildren, Alexis Watkins of Dothan, Marc Lewis of Clarksville, Tennessee, Absalom Watkins of Havre, Montana, Sebastian Watkins of Havre, Montana and Jordan Allen of San Antonio, Texas.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36301.
