OZARK… Mr. Terry Tolbert, a resident of Ozark, died late Sunday morning, June 20, 2021, at his home. He was 69.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 24, 2021, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bobby Marks and Pastor Joshua Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, PO Box 2502 Ozark, AL 36361, Wiregrass United Way, 304 N. Foster St., Dothan, AL 36301 or to Rachel’s Gift 922 Highway 81 East PMB 153, McDonough, GA 30252.
Mr. Tolbert, son of the late Gross Dock Tolbert and Bernice Bryan Tolbert, was a native of Pasadena, TX. He formerly lived in Tampa, FL and Panama City, FL before moving to Ozark in 1960. Mr. Tolbert owned and operated A-1 Auto Parts in Ozark for fifteen years and was currently employed with M1 Support Services as a materials specialist at Ft. Rucker. He served in the Army National Guard, Ozark Unit for four years. Mr. Tolbert was a handyman, doing various home improvement projects for people in our community. He enjoyed camping, beach trips, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and of course his fur babies, Princess and Sassy. He attended Cornerstone Church in Dothan. Mr. Tolbert was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Lee Tolbert and great niece and great nephew, Nora and Neil Chapman.
Surviving relatives include his wife, the love of his life, of forty-nine years, Carolyn Dunn Tolbert, Ozark; sister, Tanya Roberts (Jim), Ozark; brother-in-law, Roy Dunn (Betty), Ozark; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Culley (Tony), Lee Dunn, Matthew Dunn (Brandy), Nathan Dunn (Amy), Meagan Chapman (Jonathan), Jarod Roberts, Tracy Tolbert (Mitch); great-nieces, Abbie and Allie Dunn.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Matthew Dunn, Nathan Dunn, Lee Dunn, Jarod Roberts, Jamie Brown, Dale Nowlin, John Hancock, and Wally Olson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will the employees of M1 Support at Ft. Rucker.
