Mr. Thomas Albert Turvin, died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at his residence in Dothan. He was 91.

 

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Memory Hill Cemetery with the Reverends Marrell Turvin and Eddie Littlefield officiating. The family will receive friends at Ward Wilson Funeral Home from 1PM -2PM Wednesday, prior to the Graveside Service. Flowers will be accepted.

 

Mr. Turvin was born in Crenshaw County, Alabama on August 15, 1921 to the late William Sellers and Fannie Virginia Turvin. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church and retired from Dothan City School System in maintence. Thomas loved gardening and working with wood as a carpenter. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loved his family dearly.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret of 60 years, one great-grandchild and all of his brothers and sisters.

 

Mr. Turvin is survived by one daughter,  Kathy Turvin of Dothan, four sons and daughter-in-laws; Danny and Lecia Turvin of Dothan, Larry and Stacey Turvin of Eufaula, Alabama, Kenneth and Yvonne Turvin of Dothan, and Timmy and Cindy Turvin of Madison, Alabama; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and family members.
