Mr. Thomas “Buddy” Sellers, age 84, of Dothan passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the home of his son.
Buddy was born and raised in Malvern. At 18 he joined the U. S. Army, trained as a paratrooper and served in the Korean War. After his service, he returned to the Dothan area where he owned and operated Sellers Appliance Repair until his retirement.
Buddy was a loving father to his four children. He was loved and admired by friends and family alike.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Sellers and a son, Randy Sellers.
Survivors include his son, Steve (Carmine) Sellers; his daughters, Diane (Mike) Moody and Cindy (Rob) Tolar all of Dothan, Alabama; and a sister, Nelma Watson of Columbus, Georgia.
Grandpa is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will always have their fishing partner watching them from heaven.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, August 7, 2015 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Burns Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Slocomb with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM, Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the funeral home.
The family will be accepting flowers.
