Mr. Thomas Douglas Fain of Chancellor, Ala. passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.  He was 90.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2014 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Nathan Carroll officiating.  Burial will follow at Friendship Community Cemetery, with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until time for funeral services. 


Mr. Fain was born May 20, 1924 in Geneva County to the late Jay Douglas and Nona Fain.  He was farmer and avid hunter most of his life.  He loved the outdoors. Mr. Fain was preceded in death by his brother, Ted Lee Fain. 


He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Roberta Jones Fain; two sons, Vann Fain (Cindi) and Dan Fain (Debbie), all of Geneva; daughter, Kathy Jackson (Kenneth) of Chancellor; seven grandchildren, Amy Miller (Chris), Jason Fain (Amber), Matt Jackson (Kelly), Natalie Miller (Jeremy), Justin Jackson (Amanda), Daniel Fain, Doug Fain; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Jakie Ned Fain (Carol) of Bellwood, Ala.; sister, Joy Ann Fain Price (Kellon) of Geneva; and numerous nieces and nephews.
