Thomas H. Woodham of Dothan passed away at a local hospital Saturday, August 6, 2022. He was 71 years old.

Tom was born on October 28, 1950, to the late Hiram Woodham and Mary Davis Woodham. After graduating Chipola Jr. College in 1969, Tom joined the United States Air Force. He proudly served 7 years. That same year, he married the love of his life, Clara. Together they raised a beautiful and smart daughter, Tracie. Upon serving his time in the military, Tom worked hard to complete his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska. His favorite past time was spoiling and spending time with his daughter and grandchildren. Tom was the first and most important love of Tracie’s life, together they shared a very special father/daughter relationship, that only dads with girls can understand.

Tom began a partnership in 1993, called Vision, which later became known as Career Incorporated. The mission was to elevate families on the margins of society who were struggling to survive. Tom helped countless single parents break the cycle of dependence to become independent. The participants never paid one dime for the training and coaching. The project was funded with federal dollars channeled through states and counties. The attendees were won over because they knew that Tom loved them and had their best interest at heart.

In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Clara Reese Woodham.

Survivors include his daughter, Tracie Sullivan (Jeff); grandchildren, Isaac Sullivan and Bella Sullivan; brothers, Robert Woodham (Helen) and Gary Woodham (Vicki); and sister, Page Clark (Larry).

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, August 8, 2022, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Brad Price officiating. Burial will take place in Memory Hill Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
