Mr. Thomas H. Littlefield of Taylor, Al. died Dec 11, 2015 at his home.


Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday December 13, 2015 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eddie Littlefield and Reverend Travis Free officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM, an hour prior to the service.


Born October 5, 1929 in Daleville to the late Henry and Ella Green Littlefield, Mr. Littlefield was a lifelong farmer. He served as Mayor of Taylor from 1966 to 1970 and also served as Houston County Commissioner. He and his wife Pensie operated Littlefield Grocery during the 60’s and 70’s. Mr. Littlefield loved his family and worked hard to provide for them.


He is preceded in death by his wife Pensie Kirkland Littlefield, his parents Henry and Ella Green Littlefield, 2 brothers Arthur Green and Ralph Littlefield, and one sister Bertha Littlefield.


Survivors include 5 children: son, Henry Littlefield and his wife Nancy of Taylor; daughters, Patricia Fulton and her husband Jerry of Taylor, Linda Bowen and her husband Simon W. of Birmingham, Donna Syfrett and her husband Arnold of Taylor, Nanette Zeanah and her husband Mark of Birmingham; 14 grandchildren; Suzanne and Marcus Davis, Dr. Robert and Andrea Syfrett, Abby and Jacob Johnson, Wesley and Libby Bowen of Birmingham, Erin and Rev. Eric Hamilton of Huntsville, Mark Zeanah Jr. of Birmingham, Chris Zeanah of Auburn, Hannah and Dr. Jonathan Matlock of Big Gap, VA, Elizabeth J. Syfrett of Taylor, Wayne and Vicki Wheeler of Rehobeth, Rev. Josh and Julie Garner of Toccoa, GA, Jeremy and Ashley Fulton of Dothan, Russell and Abby Pybus of Atlanta GA; 21 great-grandchildren, Eric, Lane, and Emily Davis; Lillian, Mollie, Baylee and Abigale Syfrett; Addison, Sophia, and Talon Matlock; Ellie and Bowen Johnson; Katie, Anna, Tori and Jessica Wheeler; Zephaniah and Japeth Garner; and Rylan , Austin and MacKenzie Fulton.
