Tony Allen Powell, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Southeast Health due to an extended illness. He was 59.

A graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2PM, Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Cedar Springs Baptist Church with Joshua Powell officiating.

Tony was born to George W. Powell Jr. and Shirley Hopkins Benton on January 5, 1962. He was a lifelong resident of the Wiregrass area.

He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents, George W. Powell Sr. and Effie Powell, Aubrey and Myrtle Hopkins; one uncle, Billy Hopkins.

Survivors include his only son, Christopher Powell; his mother, Shirley Benton (Jack); a brother, Gregory Powell (Mitzi); a stepbrother, Michael Benton; a stepsister, Donna Boyd; one granddaughter, Avy Powell; four special aunts; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
