Mr. Vince Ray Jones of Samson passed away Monday, November 24, 2014.  He was 55.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Maple Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Shirah officiating.  Burial will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Samson on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Vince was born in Geneva, Ala. on May 15, 1959 to Martha Jones and the late Bobby Ray Jones.  Vince worked most of his life as a painter.  He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.  In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Dewayne Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Jones; son, Kanon Jones, both of Geneva; daughter, Kady Rogers (Travis) of Panama City, Fla.; mother, Martha Vandegrift of Samson; grandson, Riley Rogers of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, David Vandegrift and Doug Vandegrift, both of Samson.
