OZARK…Mr. William David Turner, a resident of Ozark, died late Sunday evening January 15, 2023, unexpectedly in the emergency room of Dale Medical Center. He was 73.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, there are no public services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Turner, son of the late Lee Joel Turner and Bertha Taylor Turner, was a native of Newton. He formerly lived in Lakeland, Florida, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Columbia, Maryland before moving to Ozark. In earlier years, he was employed as a printing manager for the Wall Street Journal and was formerly employed with the Dale County Sheriff’s Department as a Corrections Officer at the Dale County Jail. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Surviving relatives include his two daughters, Nikki Chambers (Lyndale), Lehigh Acres, Florida and Andrea Clark, Stoney Beach, Maryland; three sisters, Jean Moore, Priscilla Coleman, and Linda Kilpatrick, all of Ozark; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexis, Reece, Mackenzie, and Mycca.
