Mr. William Dennis Johnson, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. He was 67 years old.


Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 13, 2021, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Harold Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home in Ozark from 12:30 P.M. until service time.


Mr. Johnson was born October 31, 1954 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Judge Hollie Johnson and Mary Frances Horton Johnson.  Dennis graduated from Carroll High School in 1973 and worked at Fort Rucker with various contractors for 25 years.  He was an avid Alabama fan, loved being outdoors, working on car motors and going fishing.


He is survived by his companion, Marilyn Tharpe of Ozark; one brother, Charles Gary Johnson (Linda) of Ozark; two aunts, Patricia Helms of Augusta, Georgia and Syble Johnson Wright of Ozark; one niece, Amy Ingram (Aaron); one nephew, Dillon Johnson; four great nephews, Benjamin Ingram, Dalton Johnson, Clayton Johnson and Brandon Johnson.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund,  C/O Mr. Don Johnson, P. O. Box 196, Skipperville, Alabama 36374.
