Obituary: Mr. William Herman Lori
Mr. William Herman Lori of Dothan, formerly of New Albany IN, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Signature Health Care of North FL. He was 77.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb. Burial will follow in the Slocomb City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until service time.
Mr. Lori was born October 18, 1939 in New Albany, IN to the late Leo and Bernice Bagshaw Lori. William worked as a Nuclear Turbine Mechanic for Florida Power until his retirement. He moved to Dothan, AL in the 1990’s and worked for Brungart Equipment Company and Auto Zone. William had a passion for classic cars especially corvettes. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, sister-in-law, Naomi Lori and brothers-in-law: Mike Foreman and Paul King; nephew, Michael LaDuke and niece, Pauline Key all preceded him in death.
Survivors include three daughters: Kathy Lamm, Richmond Hill, GA, Debra White, New Albany, IN and Rebecca Gibson, Borden, IN; three sons: Keith Lori, Milton, FL, Marcus Lori (Tina), Lima, OH and William J. "Billy" Lori (Tracy), Hartford, AL; 10 grandchildren: Heather Randle, Kaitie White, Sarah Gibson, Jason Messer, Nathan Lori, Autumn Lori, Olivia Lori, Madison Lori, Mackenzie Lori and Macey Lori; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Virginia Foreman, Georgetown, IN, Carolyn King, Chuckey, TN and Peggy Carmickle (Donald), New Albany, IN; brother, James Lori (Gail), New Albany, IN; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
