Mr. William Wade Childs of Geneva passed away Saturday March 28, 2015. He was 75. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Devco Baptist Church with Rev. Olan Strickland  and Bro. Scott Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Chapel Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Geneva directing. Mr. Childs will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. 

Mr. Childs was born February 28, 1940 in Geneva County to the late Levie and Dora Smith Childs. He was a member of Devco Baptist Church. Wade was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed. 

In addition to his parents, three brothers: Ferrell, Bill and Royce Childs all preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Emma Jean Childs of Geneva; daughter,  Elisa Clark (Daniel) of Saraland; two grandchildren: Danielle and Levi Clark of Saraland; one brother, Waymon Childs (Pat)  of   Geneva; one sister,  Joyce Yeomans (Johnny) of  Hartford, two sisters-in-law:   Ann Childs of Geneva and  Louise Childs of Foley; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
