Mr. Willie Edward Jackson

Willie Edward Jackson, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at a local hospital due to medical complications. He was 69 years old.

A celebration of Willie’s life will be held at 11 am on Friday, March 13, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Deloris Beard officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 am.

Mr. Jackson was born on September 17, 1950 in Dothan, Alabama and resided in St. Petersburg, FL for a number of years before relocating back home.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Leona Jackson of Dothan and by his loving son, Carlos Jackson of Florida.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Rosetta Young Jackson; his children, Pamela (Andy) Short, Malarie Stubbins, Tracy Parrish, Sharon Jackson, Givonnie (Michael) Menefield, and Kristy Sessions Jackson; a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; he also leaves his loving and devoted sisters and brother, Maggie (Willie) Banks, Joann (John) McHellon, and Johnny (Rosalind) Jackson.
