Mr. Willis Otho (Tobe) Rabon, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012, at the Parkway Medical Center in Decatur, AL. He was 94.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, January 21, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Mark McCraney and Henry Shellman officiating.  Burial will follow in Bluff Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


 


The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2:30 P.M. Saturday, January 21, 2012. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the First Freewill Baptist Church in Decatur, AL.


 


Mr. Rabon was born February 8, 1917, in Houston County, Alabama, the son of the late Wright C. Rabon and Bera Johnson Rabon.


 


He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 69 years, Evie Rabon, two sisters, and three brothers.


 


Survivors include his nephew, Ronnie McCraney and his wife, Jean (Caregivers) of Decatur, AL; grand nephew, Mark McCraney and his wife, Danielle of Colorado; grand niece, Lori McCraney of Tennessee; great-nephews, Ethan and Lucas McCraney of Colorado; sister, Monell Schaeffer of PA; two brothers, Billy Rabon and his wife, Ethel of Dothan; David Rabon and his wife, Patsy of Dothan; and several nieces and nephews.


 


Pallbearers will be Roger Cureton, David Cureton, Aaron Daugherty, and Tim Daugherty.
