ROCKY HEAD COMMUNITY…Mrs. Agnes Robinette Ragan, a resident of the Rocky Head Community, near Ariton, died early Sunday morning, March 24, 2019 in Dale Medical Center in Ozark. She was 92.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in the Rocky Head Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Weed and Reverend Joe Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the church sanctuary.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olive Cemetery Fund c/o, Gerald Goodson, 1681 Highway 51, Ariton, Alabama 36311.
Mrs. Ragan, daughter of the late Charlie Robinette and Florence Day Robinette was born in Barbour County and lived in Ariton most of her lifetime. She was a 1945 graduate of Ariton School and was retired from Phillips Van Heusen Corporation in Ozark after forty years employment. Mrs. Ragan was an active participant in the New Hope Senior Center and enjoyed quilting with the Rocky Head Quilters. She was a longtime member of the Rocky Head Baptist Church. Mrs. Ragan was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Ragan; three sisters, Easter Faulk, Geraldine Mills and Effie Baker.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Ann Dora Garner and husband, Thomas, Ozark; three grandchildren, Amy Garner Hess and husband, Chris; Brian Garner and wife, Lisa; and Candice Garner Grimes and husband, James; five great-grandchildren, Brett Garner, Faith Garner, Andrew Hess, Abby Hess and David Grimes.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Neal Byrd, Tony Byrd, Curtis McGee, Kris Edgar, Kevin Edgar, and Gerald Goodson.
