Mrs. Alice Mae King of Hwy 179A, Westville, Florida went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, February 19, 2014. She was 90.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2014, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Kenneth Bradley and Rev. Tim Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Assembly of God Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until service time.
Mrs. King was born March 28, 1923, in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Ace and Annie Lashley. After 42 years of service she retired from Phillips Van Heusen in Geneva. She was a founding member of Reedy Assembly of God Church and was a very loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents her husband of 67 years, Wilburn W. “Bo” King, preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Elaine Brannon (Billy Ray); two grandchildren: Steve Gillman (Sheryl) and Rena Welch; five great-grandchildren: Waylon Welch (Porsha Yarbrough), Kayla Welch (Clay Brown), Jacob Gillman, Brandi Gillman and Mason Carnley; three great-great-grandchildren: Kaden Gillman, Madison Hickman and Warren Brown; one brother, John Lashley (Sybil); all of Westville; other extended family and friends.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Covenant Hospice of Marianna and also their many friends and neighbors for all of their love and support.
