OZARK…. Mrs. Alice Shipman Parker, a resident of Ozark, died Monday morning, January 4, 2021 at her home. She was 75.
Homegoing services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 11, 2021 in the Ozark Civic Center. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Parker, daughter of the late Chester Shipman and Minnie Lee Dawkins, moved to Ozark at an early age. She was a graduate of D.A. Smith High School and was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Ozark. Mrs. Parker was currently employed with the Ozark City School System as a school bus driver. She was preceded in death by a son, Louis Henry Parker, II, an infant son; her sister, Jesse Pearl Lucas; two brothers, Charles Dawkins and Chester K. Shipman.
Leaving to cherish her memories are two daughters, Jacqueline Parker and Bonita Parker, both of Ozark; her son, John Jermaine Parker (Lara), Olathe, KS; three brothers, Jonatha Shipman, Ozark; David Earl Shipman (Victoria), Newton and Horatio Timothy Shipman, Ozark; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
