Angela Dawn Darby, a resident of Gordon, Alabama died peacefully  Saturday, July 9, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was 56.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30PM, Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral home with Chaplin Kathy Stumbaugh officiating. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1:30PM to 2:30PM. The family request that all Roll Tide fans wear their favorite Alabama Crimson Tide attire.


Mrs. Darby was born on October 19, 1965 in North Carolina. Her hobbies included traveling, shopping, singing, listening to all types of music, gardening and taking care of her adorable animals. You could always find her on Saturday’s in the fall cheering on her Alabama Crimson Tide “Roll Tide”. She was a hard worker who was dedicated to her work when it came to decorating and designing. Angela was a loving wife, mother, grandmother “GiGi”, daughter,  and sister. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.


She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Alan Del Rio.


She is survived by her husband, Greg Darby; a son, Chris Wrenn (Whitney); a daughter, Payton Darby; her mother, Rosemary Del Rio; her father, John Wayne Pope (Marilyn); five brothers, Jarred Pope (Wendy), Joseph Del Rio, Michael Del Rio, Danny Martinez, and Jason Scott; a sister, Wendy Daugherty (Ron); a granddaughter, Hattie Campbell Wrenn; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
