Mrs. Cameron, daughter of the late William Mark Smith and Melzora McCook Smith, was a native of Fitzgerald, Georgia and moved to Ozark in 2018. One of Ann’s favorite places to be was outside. Whether she was raking leaves, planting flowers, or trimming bushes, she always enjoyed her time outdoors. God gave her a love of plants and a talent for making them grow. She enjoyed going to the nursery to find new plants and loved nurturing them and watching them grow into beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed sharing the fruits of her labor with those around her. Ann was a member of Harvest Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Carl “Pete” Cameron, Jr., infant son, grandson-in-law, Trent McLendon; siblings, Ruthie Meaker, Vermont Brunkey, Bertie Turner, Russell Smith, EJ Smith, Vernon Smith, Troy Smith, and Robert Smith.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Angela Mefford (Tony), Ozark; stepson, Carl Cameron, Fitzgerald, Georgia; grandchildren, Todd Mefford (Andrea), Megan Mefford McLendon, Zachery Mefford, Andy Cameron (Kaitlin), and Aaron Cameron; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
